UNTAMED is a hair magazine created to target women between the ages of 17 to 35 to educate and share tips about healthy hair care such as styles, routines, and maintenance.

This project examines how editorial graphic design can be used to explore and challenge cultural discussions about Black women through targeted research, including a global survey of 664 respondents from 29 countries, with the aim of creating inclusive media representation.

The National Association of Black Journalists Monitor is an annual newspaper produced during the NABJ National Convention as part of the NABJ Multimedia Student Projects in Chicago, IL. As one of four key deliverables, it highlights in-depth reporting, photography, and design by emerging journalists. I served as the sole student designer, collaborating with mentors Ken McFarlin and Tierra Smith to layout and produce three 12- to 16-page newspapers within four days using Adobe Indesign and Illustrator.

During my 1.5-month internship with the University of South Alabama Football team, I designed a weekly, magazine-style e-blast sent to recruits. The e-blast was titled with the coordinates of Hancock Whitney Stadium, home to the Jaguars’ games, and created using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. This project required creative design and consistent weekly updates to engage recruits.

A key player in designing educational materials for Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and West Virginia, contributing over 12,000 pages across 25 Teacher and Student Edition books. My work involved leading 16 of these projects, ensuring consistency and accuracy through comprehensive style guides and meticulous attention to detail. The samples showcased highlight my expertise in editorial design, layout development, and collaborative production under tight deadlines.
